Funeral service for Mrs. Anna Alger Grim, 70, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Tim Brant, Anamosa last Sunday, were held at Methodist church Tuesday, Sept. 21, at 2:30 p.m. Rev. J. K. Delahooke was in charge of the service and burial was in the family lot at Forest chapel.

Mrs. Grim was born in Greenfield township, the daughter of James and Hester Monroe Alger. She grew up in the vicinity of her birth, living there until she married Henry Grim, Anamosa, on Oct. 2, 1890. Eight children were born to the couple, five of whom survive.

She was a member of the Royal Neighbors and the Methodist church. For last few years her health has been failing, and she spent much time at the University hospital in Iowa City.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Pearl Brant, Anamosa; Mrs. Della Remington, Center Point, Mrs. Fern Grimes, Millersburg; two sons, Marion, Waterloo; and Walter, Mason City, Ill.; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in September, 1939, and by three children, Frederick Leander, Mrs. Fonda Meade and Mrs. Maldean Zimmerman.
