W. E. Foley, 68, popular and well-known resident of this community, died at his home in Anamosa shortly before five o'clock Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 1.

Rosary will be recited at the home Friday night at 8 o'clock, and Requiem high mass will be sung at 9:30 Saturday morning at St. Patrick's Catholic church. Father P. J. Behan will officiate, with arrangements in charge of McNamara's funeral home.

Mr. Foley was born in Anamosa July 17, 1875. For many years he and his brother, Charles Foley, were road contractors in this territory.

He suffered a severe attack of heart disease Tuesday, Aug. 24, and his condition had been critical from that time. He was believed to be improving Wednesday before his death.

Survivors include his wife, his brother, one son, E. W. Foley, Colfax, Wash., and a daughter, Mrs. Corrine Hobart, San Bernadino, Calif.
