Funeral service for Mrs. Edna Haverly, 81, who died following a long illness Monday, Aug. 30, were held this Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Funeral arrangements were in charge of Smykil's funeral home, Rev. J. K. Delahooke officiating.

Casket bearers were Alfred B. Snyder, Gilbert B. Cooper, Lloyd Soper, Stanley Bright, Keith Kenion, and Warren Kester. Burial was at Riverside cemetery.

Mrs. Edna Winn Haverly was born in Benton county Aug. 13, 1862, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles J. Winn.

She came to Anamosa about 30 years ago, from Cedar Rapids, and lived here until her death last Monday. She had been ill for some time and Friday, after a sudden turn for the worse, was taken to Mercy hospital.

Survivors include two sons, George Haverly, Peoria, Ill., and James Haverly, manager of the Anamosa A&P store. Others are two sisters, Mrs. Ether Volles and Mrs. Pearl Holtman, both of Anamosa.
