OLIN--Funeral service was held at the Olin Methodist church Tuesday, Aug. 3, for Miss Esther M. Kidder. Service was in charge of Rev. Hunt, Mt. Vernon, and Rev. Strait, Olin.

Miss Kidder died at her home in Mount Vernon Saturday, July 31, after an illness which had forced her resignation from the faculty of Olin consolidated school. She had served as home economics teacher for the past six years.

Miss Kidder, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. J. J. Kidder, was born Aug. 3, 1893, at Fairbank. She was graduated from Olin, Iowa, school in 1912 and attended Cornell college, Mount Vernon, for two years.

She was graduated from Iowa State college, Ames, in 1921 and received her master's degree from that college in 1930, having taught in Manchester and Maquoketa in the meantime.

She taught at Parsons college, Fairfield, and at Orient, before assuming the Olin position.

Survivors include her mother and four sisters, Mrs. Guy Macomber, Olin; Mrs. J. L. Hoye, Estherville; Mrs. C. J. Kramer and Joyce Kidder, Mt. Vernon; and one brother Paul, Atlanta, Ga.

Casket bearers were: M. J. Ramsey, Gilbert Jones, Earl Phillips, Ralph Norton, A. E. Gilmore and W. F. Robertson.
