Funeral service for Jesse Robert Lutz, 49, who died last Thursday was held at Beam & Miller chapel last Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. J. K. Delahooke read the service.

Burial was in Riverside cemetery. Dr. R. L. Hyde, Earl R. Pulver, Grover Stroud, Julius Westphal, Russell Mead, and Lloyd Green served as casket bearers.

Mr. Lutz was born Feb. 8, 1894, in Wapello, Ill. After one year, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lutz, moved to Duncombe, where Jesse spent his boyhood and attended the local schools.

He enlisted in World war I Dec. 12, 1917, and due to his interest in mechanics and electrical work was sent to Texas A & M College Station, and Carnegie institute, Pittsburgh, Pa., to study radio mechanics.

Honorably discharged, he returned to Fort Dodge and married Miss Hazel Peterson, Jan. 27, 1929. They moved to Anamosa in August, 1929, where Mr. Lutz continued his electrical work.

Survivors include Mrs. Lutz, daughters, Florence and Glendora, his mother, Mrs. Frank Lutz, two brothers, Miles and Frank, and five sisters, Mary, Elizabeth, Anna Rose, Cleva, and Beatrice.
