Dr. William B. Skinner, 83, died in Evanston, Ill., Sunday, June 20. Since September, 1941, Dr. Skinner had made his home there with his son, Eugene W. Skinner, who is a professor in the physics department of Northwestern university dental college.

Funeral service was held in the Congregational church Wednesday, June 23, with Rev. J. K. Delahooke officiating in Rev. Homer E. Dalrymple's absence. Arrangements were in charge of Smykil Funeral home. Business places closed during the service.

Dr. Skinner was born in Boulder, Colo., June 13, 1860. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Skinner, purchased a drug store in Anamosa and moved here the following year.

Dr. Skinner began his medical study at University of Iowa, and continued studying at Rush college, Chicago, and New York university. In 1887, he was granted an M.D. degree and returned to Anamosa to join his father in business.

He married Miss Marian Stacy in 1891.

In August, 1941, Dr. Skinner announced the sale of the 80 year old Skinner drugstore, following which he moved to Evanston.

Professor Skinner, his son, is the only survivor.
