CENTER JUNCTION--Funeral service for William Fredric Carson, who committed suicide by shooting himself in the head Thursday, was held in the Center Junction Presbyterian church, at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 28.

Rev. Frank Schroeder, Onslow, officiated. Burial was made in the Wyoming cemetery. The Masons conducted the service at the graveside.

Fred Carson, was born on the home farm west of Center Junction, Nov. 12, 1889, the son of John and Mary Jane Carson. His entire life was spent in this community.

On March 6, 1918, he was married to Gladys Moncrief and the couple made their home in Center Junction.

Mr. Carson was a member of the K. of P. lodge and the Masonic order. He was a regular employee of Jones county for nearly 20 years, until his health failed last year.

Surviving are his widow, one brother, Vernon, near Oxford Junction, and three sisters, Fannie Serbousek, Cedar Rapids; Mayne Platner, Davenport and Margaret Anderson, Rock Island, Ill.
