Funeral service was held Monday at St. Patrick's church in Anamosa for Miss Mary Conway, who died Saturday following a long illness. Lobar pneumonia was the cause of her death.

Rev. P. J. Behan was in charge of the service. Burial was made in Holy Cross cemetery. Casket bearers were Charles J. Cash, jr., Charles Foley, James Dougherty, Edward Boos, Vincent McGreevy and W. A. Hogan.

Mary Conway was born at Anamosa on Jan. 19, 1881, the daughter of M. P. Coway, pioneer dry goods and clothing merchant and Bridget O'Donnell Conway McGuire, who preceded her daughter in death by only 10 days. She was also preceded in death by her father, who died in 1887; a brother, Emmett Conway, who died in infancy, and Joseph McGuire, who died in 1923.

Miss Conway attended school at St. Joseph's academy at Dubuque, Mount St. Claire at Clinton, and St. Mary's of the Lake at South Bend, Ind. After she finished her schooling, she returned to Anamosa, where she lived the remainder of her life.

Survivors are two brothers, James Conway, Des Moines, and Neil Conway, Anamosa; and two half brothers, John McGuire, Chicago, Ill., and Hubert McGuire, Anamosa.

Loder funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
