Funeral service was held Friday at Des Moines for Mrs. John Uhr, 58, formerly Mildred Larissa Ladd of Jones county, who died Thursday, March 28, at Iowa Lutheran hospital at Des Moines. Burial was made at Riverside cemetery, Anamosa, Saturday afternoon.

Mrs. Uhr was born in Middletown, Del., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Ladd. She came with her parents to Jones county at the age of 10 years. The family lived for a time in Cass township, and later at Morley. Mr. and Mrs. Uhr were married in 1906. One son, Dexter, now of Omaha, Nebr., was born to the couple. Mrs. Uhr's husband died in 1926. She lived in Des Moines and Mount Vernon since that time.

Miss Harriet A. Cunningham, Anamosa, is an aunt and Mrs. Charles Miller, Morley, is a sister of Mrs. Uhr.
