ONSLOW--Mrs. Ella Lee Orr, Onslow, eldest daughter of James and Jane Lee, was born Jan. 2, 1867, in Clay Mills, Jones county, Iowa, and died at Mercy hospital, Anamosa, Nov. 2, 1942.

She was married to Joseph W. Orr Aug. 24, 1887, who died Oct. 31, 1927. To this couple seven children were born, five preceding her in death, two in infancy, William in 1914, Vera in 1931 and Ruth in 1932. Surviving are Harold, Redding, Calif., and Ralph, Onslow. There is also one granddaughter and one sister, Mrs. Sarah Martin, Anderson, Calif.

She united with the Bethel Presbyterian church Oct. 3, 1891 and while that church existed attended regularly. She placed her letter of membership with the Onslow church in 1932, where she attended until failing in health. For the last two years she has been confined to her bed.

Rev. Frank Schroeder had charge of the funeral service in the Presbyterian church last Thursday afternoon. Casketbearers were A. J. Hamilton, E. A. Horton, Artie Ames, F. G. Orr, John Kennedy and George French. Mrs. Wilson Briggs sang "In The Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross," accompanied by Mrs. C. R. Smith. Burial was made in the Bethel cemetery.
