Oxford Junction--Funeral service was held Monday morning at the Sacred Heart church for Mrs. Katherine Kropik, 86, who died at her home Friday evening following a stroke which she had suffered several days before. She had been an invalid for the last several years.

Rev. Father Joseph Gregor had charge of the service, with music by the Sacred Heart choir. Casket-bearers were Joe Kotlinek, Heran Tech, Frank Kolarik, Vit Larsack, John Shedek and Joe Barto. Burial was in the Mayflower cemetery.

Katherine Homolka was born in Bohemia and came to this country when a young woman. She was married Feb. 24 to Joseph Korpik and for 30 years they farmed near Oxford Junction, retiring then to the home here. Mr. Kropik and two children preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons, John and Joe, Oxford Junction; and two daughters, Mrs. Frank Henak and Mrs. Rudolph Dusanek, Wyoming; also four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Mrs. Korpik was a member of the Sacred Heart church having been baptized in the Catholic faith in Bohemia. She was also a member of the Z.C.B.J. lodge.
