Mrs. Lewis Joslin, lifetime resident of Fairview southwest of Anamosa, died Monday at 5:30 a.m. after an illness of two months. She was 58 years old.

Funeral service was held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from Loder funeral home. Rev. Edwards, Jordan's Grove, read the service. Burial was in Highland Grove cemetery. Casketbearers were: Frank Remington, Herman Schwartz, Frank Merrill, H. E. Stover, Port Weaver and Arthur Lake.

Mrs. Joslin was born at Fairview April 18, 1883, as Josephine McGowan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cal McGowan. She attended Fairview schools and grew to womanhood in the community. In 1916, she was married to Lewis Joslin and they have lived for 25 years on the same farm. She was associated with the Methodist church during her girlhood and during recent years worked for the Latter Day Saints at Fairview.

Mrs. Joslin is survived by four sons by her marriage with Mr. Joslin and three daughters by a previous marriage. Leonard Joslin, who is in the signal corps of the United States Navy, came home by airplane for a brief visit with his mother during her illness. Other sons are Lawrence Joslin, Kansas City; Donald Joslin, Chicago; and Joseph Joslin, at home.

Mrs. Joslin's daughters are Mrs. Harry Skeels and Mrs. Lloyd Connor, Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Lewis Sterner, Murdo, S. Dak.

One brother, Ed McGowan, Anamosa, and two sisters, Mrs. Letty Bowles and Mrs. May Moran, Chicago, also survive.

Persons attending the funeral from out-of-town included: Donald C. Joslin, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Joslin, Kansas City; Mrs. John Ellison and family, Waterloo; Mrs. Kenneth Joslin and daughter, Waterloo and Mrs. Joslin's sisters.
