DES MOINES--Miss Agnes G. Foarde, 71, died Sunday morning, Dec. 23, of a stroke at Mercy hospital. She had been ill for a year.

She was born in Anamosa and had lived in Des Moines for 24 years. She was a clerk with the health education division of the State department of Health for 14 years, retiring last year.

She was a member of St. John's Catholic church and of the church Rosary society.

Services were at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's church, in Des Moines. St. John's Rosary society joined in the Rosary service at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Caldwell-Brien Funeral home.

Burial was in Holy Cross cemetery at Anamosa, where Rev. J. P. McMahon conducted graveside services on Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 26.

Survivors include a brother, John, Des Moines, four sisters, Mrs. Nora C. White and Alice Foarde, Des Moines; Mrs. Catherine Ellis, Hialeah, Fla., and Mrs. Anna Koppenhaver, Anamosa; and a number of nieces and nephews.
