OXFORD JUNCTION--Word has been received in Oxford Junction, of the death of Myrtle Dollmeyer Ward, 60, a former resident of Oxford Junction. She died in Hawaii Monday, Oct. 8, and buried on Hilo Island.

As Miss Dolmeyer she went to Hawaii in 1932 to work in the Social Service Bureau. In 1937 she began working in the Territorial Welfare agency and in 1953 was made Hawaiian County administrator of Social services which position she held until her death.

She was the daughter of John and Julia Dollmeyer, former business people, in Oxford Junction. She was graduated from Oxford Junction high school and also from State University of Iowa.

She is survived by her husband, Ray E. Ward, and a step-daughter, and two grandchildren.
