March 28, 1940 - The Anamosa Journal

Funeral service was held Wednesday morning at St. Patrick's church in Anamosa for Mrs. Tom McGreevy, 49, who died Sunday at University hospital in Iowa City.

Rev. P. J. Behan was in charge of services. Burial was made in Holy Cross cemetery. Rosary was recited Tuesday morning at the Loder Funeral home.

Casket bearers were John Machart, William Lohr, Jack Neville, Jim Dougherty, John Hanlon and Steven Cash.

Mrs. McGreevy was born Lulu Hania, daughter of Peter and Julia Hania, in Holland, and came with her parents to America 46 years ago.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by six children, Vincent, Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Herbert Orr, Dubuque; Mrs. Lewis Dandl, jr., Cascade; Mrs. Buster Davenport, Anamosa; Leone and Cecilia, at home; a sister, Mrs. Henry Farhman, Marshall, Minn., and a brother, Simon Hania, in Oregon.
