WYOMING--Funeral service for Charles W. Mallicoat, 74, who died Friday evening after a lingering illness was held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon from the Harrington Funeral home with Rev. R. C. Scott, pastor of the Methodist church in charge.

Mr. Mallicoat, who would have observed his 75th birthday, April 24, was a native of Indiana, but came to Iowa when a small boy, the family locating near Stockton. He devoted the major portion of his life to farming. On Dec. 16, 1884, he was married to Calista Gearhart at Muscatine and the home thereafter was either in or near Wyoming. He has served as a director of the Wyoming Telephone Co. for many years and at one time affiliated with the Modern Woodmen lodge.

He is survived by his widow, two sons, Earl, Center Junction; Carl, Faith, S.D.; one daughter, Mrs. Golden Lesch, Boulder, Colo., six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
