OXFORD JUNCTION--John Wlach, 83, died Sunday at 7 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Arthur Stevenson, four miles east of Oxford Junction. He had made his home with her for the last six years. He had suffered an infection in his arm eight weeks ago and his death came as a result.

Mr. Wlach was born near Solon, July 20, 1859. He came to Oxford Junction when 15 years of age and became a harness maker by trade, operating his own shop here for 51 years until retirement six years ago. He was married to Mary Slouha, Oxford Junction, April 15, 1888. She preceded him in death in 1929.

He is survived by one daugh *** son, John Wlach, Oxford Junction; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Christina Mattas, 88 years old, Oxford Junction.

Funeral service was held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Stevenson home in the country and at the Lutheran church in Oxford Junction at 2 p.m. Rev. Fred C. Maurer officiated. Burial was in Mayflower cemetery.
