AMBER--Mrs. J. F. "Anna" Husmann, 60, Amber, died Monday, Dec. 18, at Independence, following a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 21, at 1:30 p.m., at Zion Evangelical Lutheran church, Monticello. Rev. Otto Zwanziger officiated at the service. Burial was in Wayne cemetery, Monticello.

Pallbearers included Louis Hayen, John Grant, Herman Ortgies, Chris Bendixen, Howard Edwards and Robert Duncan.

She was born Oct. 25, 1901, daughter of Otto Otten and Grace Gerdes Otten, Amber. She was married to John F. Husmann, Amber, on Sept. 1, 1920, at Zion Lutheran church, Monticello. Couple lived on a farm in the Amber vicinity. She was a member of Wayne Zion Lutheran church.

Survivors include her husband, John; three daughters, Helen, Mrs. Vernon Meier, Monticello; Marie, Mrs. Irvin Lubben, Monticello; and Dorothy, Mrs. Ervin Stutt, Anamosa.

Others include six sons, LaVerne, Center Junction; Robert, Scotch Grove; Kenneth, Langworthy; John, Solon; Merlin, Center Junction, and Allan, Monticello.

Others include two sisters, Mrs. Fred Schlienan, Independence, and Mrs. Henry Dirks, Longmont, Colo.; five brothers, Fred Otten, Sioux Falls, S. Dak.; William Otten, Center Junction; Lawrence Otten, Monticello; Clarence Otten, Scotch Grove, and Leonard Otten, Dannemora, N.Y.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers in infancy.
