OLIN--Eugene Easterly Hart, 54, Olin, died Friday, Nov. 16, following a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 19, at 1:30 p.m., at the Methodist church, Olin. Rev. John Schlosser officiated at the services. Burial was in the Olin cemetery.

Hayden funeral home had charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were M. C. Gordon, Willard McCormick, Jesse Mershon, Edmond Sealls, Raymond Soenksen and Dillon Gilmore.

Darrell Dicken was soloist. Geralyn Schladtzky was organist.

He was born Oct. 27, 1908, son of Wallace and Stella Easterly Hart, Stanwood. Family moved to Olin where he attended the public school. Following graduation he worked with his father in a local grocery store. In 1931 he was married to Edna Feddersen. He was a member of the Methodist church.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mary Ann, Mrs. Mervin Chamberlin, Anamosa; and Linda, at home. One sister, Mrs. Irma Williams, Wheatland; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
