February 12, 1942 - The Anamosa Journal

Funeral services for Delores Mae Yarrington, 9-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alva Yarrington, who died Tuesday at 9 a.m. after a few days' illness, were held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist church.

Rev. E. A. Schlaman officiated at the rites and burial was in South Mineral cemetery northeast of Onslow. Funeral arrangements were in charge of Beam and Miller Funeral home.

The child was born March 11, 1932, at Corning, Iowa, and moved here with her family several years ago. Besides her parents, she is survived by a twin sister, and five brothers, all at home.

Last rites for Delores Mae Yarrington, 9, were held last Thursday afternoon, Feb. 12, at 2 p.m. at the Baptist church with Rev. E. A. Schlaman officiating.

Burial was in South Mineral cemetery northeast of Onslow and funeral arrangements were in charge of Beam and Miller Funeral home.

The child died after a short illness Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 9 a.m. Her twin sister, Doris, had returned home Monday from Mercy hospital following an appendectomy.

Delores Mae is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alva Yarrington; her twin sister, Doris and five brothers: Paul, Frankie, James, Francis and Glenn, all at home, and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Yarrington, Maquoketa.
