18 October 1962 - The Anamosa Eureka

Roy Corwin Coleman, 60, Anamosa, died Monday, Oct. 8, at University hospital, Iowa City, following a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 11, at 2:30 p.m., at the First Baptist church, Anamosa. Rev. Lee Hobel officiated at the services. Burial was in Riverside cemetery, Anamosa.

Pallbearers were Harold Huston, Charles Byers, Roy Morning, Carl Farrington, Dwight Pulver and John Weers.

Mrs. James T. Remley was organist.

He was born Feb. 6, 1902, son of Harley Coleman and Nora Snyder Coleman, Anamosa. He was married to Rose Smith, Morley, May 11, 1925, at Cedar Rapids.

He lived his married life in the Anamosa area. He was an employee of the City of Anamosa for a number of years. He had attended Anamosa public schools.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Phyllis, Mrs. Clayton Bickford, Delmar; one son, George Coleman, Sydney, Nebr.; three brothers, Leonard Coleman, Howard Coleman and Marvin Coleman, all of Anamosa; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Mrs. Stella Johnson, Anamosa.
