OLIN--Kenneth Gerald Chamberlain, 15, Olin, died Thursday, May 24, from drowning in the Wapsipinicon river near Olin.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 28, at 2 p.m., at the Olin Methodist church. Burial was in the Olin cemetery. Campbell Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.

Rev. Gordon Vickery, Stanwood, and Rev. John R. Schlosser, Olin, officiated at the services. Linda Ballou was organist.

Pallbearers included Jack Bodkin, Daryl Bodkin, Donald Bodkin, Joe Lasack, Marlin Laetare, Robert Zeadow.

He was born March 6, 1947, at Mercy hospital, Anamosa, son of Gerald and Velma Harness Chamberlain, Olin. In 1952 the family moved to Stanwood, where Kenneth attended the first 8 years of public school.

In 1961 the family returned to Olin, where Kenneth was a member of this year's eighth grade class. He was a member of the Boy Scouts and Junior M.Y.F. of the Stanwood community, and a member of the Methodist church school in both the Stanwood and Olin communities.

Survivors include his parents, three brothers, Dennis, Cleve and Michael; his paternal grandparents, and his maternal grandmother.
