OLIN--Guy W. Coppess, 81, Marion, former Olin resident, died Wednesday, May 9, at University hospital, Iowa City, following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 12, at 1:30 p.m., at the Barta-Hesser Funeral home, Cedar Rapids. Rev. Carlton Bradley, of Grace Baptist church, Marion, will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial cemetery.
He was born April 22, 1881, at Olin. He had lived in Cedar Rapids, and surrounding area, for the last 20 years. He was a retired railroad section foreman for the Milwaukee railroad.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Irwin Kramer and Mrs. Norman Pollock, both of Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Robert Sova, Marion; one son, Willmer C. Coppess, Ely; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
