MARTELLE--Funeral services for Mrs. Estella Mae Eldred, 63, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Martelle Methodist church, with burial in Norwich cemetery.

Mrs. Eldred died Monday morning at Mercy hospital, Anamosa, after undergoing a major operation last week.

Beam and Miller Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

MARTELLE--Final rites for Mrs. Estella Mae Eldred, 63, who died Monday, Dec. 22, at Mercy hospital, Anamosa, after an illness of five months, were held Wednesday, Dec. 24, at 2 p.m. at the Martelle Methodist church.

Rev. Claude Runner, pastor of the church, officiated, and burial was in Norwich cemetery at Martelle.

Casket bearers included Kenneth Gordon, Lee Bobst, Lee Pospishel, Clayton Murfield, Wesley Kadera and Gerald Darsee.

Born southeast of Martelle on Nov. 25, 1878, daughter of Abe and Amanda Bauer, she was married to Arthur Eldred on Sept. 16, 1908. He preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 1930.

Mrs. Eldred lived most of her life in and around Martelle where she was an active worker in both churches, having membership the last few years in the Methodist church.

She is survived by two sons, Russell, Mechanicsville, and Galen, at home; two grandchildren, Carol Lois and Gene; a sister, Mrs. Fred Bear, Lisbon and a brother, Joe Bear, Waterloo.
