Funeral service for George A. Jackson, 62, who was found dead in his bed at his home Wednesday evening, Dec. 17, was held Friday at 2 p.m. at Smykil's Funeral home. Rev. J. K. Delahooke, pastor of the First Methodist church, was in charge of the service and burial was in Antioch cemetery.

Born at Albany, Ill., on Sept. 27, 1897, son of George and Mary Jackson, he came to Jones county as a boy and until the last few years had lived on the farm. He moved to Anamosa recently.

He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Minnie McGuire, Olin and Mrs. Belle Hotz, Marion.
