Loyal Miller, 67, died Monday, April 23, at a Cedar Rapids Nursing home, where he had been a patient for several months.

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 26, at 10:30 a.m., at the Goettsch Funeral home, Anamosa. Rev. Father Joseph Hsu officiated at the service. Burial was in the Olin cemetery.

Pallbearers included Robert Woodward, Ermal Conley, Virgil Moser, Lester Holub, Ralph Kula and Louis Eiben.

He was born April 6, 1895, son of John and Ardelia Nance Miller, Platte, S. Dak. He worked as a farmer in Jones county and as a blacksmith in Prairieburg before his illness. He was a veteran of World war I.

Survivors include a brother, C. C. Miller, Nichols; one sister, Mrs. Edna Smith, Olin, and several nieces and nephews.
