CEDAR RAPIDS--Mrs. Cordelia Byerly, 71, died in a Cedar Rapids hospital Wednesday at 10 a.m. after a short illness.

Brief services will be held in the Beatty chapel Friday at 1:30 p.m. with more extended services in the Center chapel church, near Morley, at 3 p.m. Rev. Roland A. Badger, Jessup, will officiate and burial will be in the Center chapel cemetery.

She was the widow of Ulysses Grant Byerly. She was born near Olin Aug. 11, 1870. She formerly resided in Marion and has lived in Cedar Rapids for 15 years. She was married in 1888. Her husband died April 10, 1915.

She was a member of the Pythian Sisters, Past Chiefs association, the Order of Eastern Star No. 183 of Marion and the White Shrine.

Surviving are two brothers, Sherman, Olin, and Charles, Chicago; a sister, Mrs. Ella Whitman, Chicago, and several nieces and nephews.

GREEN--Funeral service was held at the Green Friday, for Mrs. Cordelia Byerly, Cedar Rapids. Rev. R. A. Badger, Jesup, officiated. Mrs. Byerly was a former resident of the Newport community and a relative of the Tallman family. She died April 22 in St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, after a short illness.
