Lewis Kurtz Remley, 48, Fairbault, Minn., former Anamosa resident died Monday, Feb. 25, following a lingering illness, in a hospital in Fairbault.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 28, at 4:30 p.m., at the Goettsch Funeral home, Anamosa. Rev. Ivan Rundus, Fairbault, officiated at the service. Burial was in Riverside cemetery, Anamosa.

He was born July 25, 1915, son of Arthur L. Remley and Ruth Kurtz Remley, Anamosa. He attended Anamosa schools and the University of Iowa.

He was married Dec. 24, 1941, to Catherine Kline, a former teacher in the Anamosa school. He was employed by Owen Mathieson Chemical Co., Omaha, Nebr.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Lynn, 13; his mother, Mrs. Ruth Remley, Anamosa; and a sister, Mrs. Charles Temple, Evanston, Ill.
