WYOMING--Anton M. Baguss, 67, Wyoming, died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, Dec. 8.

Funeral services were held at the First Presbyterian church, Wyoming, Monday, Dec. 11, at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Wayne Norris officiated at the services. Interment was in the Wyoming cemetery.

Pallbearers included Alfred Christophersen, John Christophersen, Carl Feddersen, Henry Thies, Herman Baguss and Rollo Lindley.

Junior Hicks was soloist. Mrs. Lola Wantz was organist.

He was born July 27, 1894, in Schleswig, Holstein, Germany, son of Ferdinand and Anna Magdelna "Get" Feddersen Baguss. He came to the United States in 1911 and established his residence in Jones county at that time.

He was married to Meada McQuire Oct. 21, 1921, at Cedar Rapids. Couple resided in Jones county since that time with the exception of a few months. In 1959 they retired and moved to their present home.

He was baptized in the Lutheran faith in the German Evangelical Lutheran church in 1894 and confirmed in 1909. In 1921 he joined the Presbyterian church, Wyoming, and in March 1948, he was ordained an elder in that fellowship.

Survivors include his wife, Meada; three brothers, John, Tipton; Ferdinand, Maquoketa, and Herman, Cedar Rapids; one aunt, Mrs. Boyd Feddersen, Stanwood and numerous other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
