Mrs. Mary L. Dougherty, 82, Anamosa, died Tuesday, June 12, at Mercy hospital, Anamosa.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 15, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic church, Anamosa. Rev. J. A. McMahon will have charge of the service. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery. McNamara Funeral home, Anamosa, is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers include Glen McLaughlin, William Fay, Joe Lazio, Leonard Wegman, Glen Koppenhaver and Buster Davenport.

She was born July 16, 1879, daughter of Thomas Foarde and Margaret Foley Foarde, Anamosa. She was married April 27, 1900, to James Dougherty, Anamosa. She had spent her entire life in Anamosa and vicinity.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Loretta Trimble, Cedar Rapids; four sons, Gerald, Chicago, Ill.; James, Denver; Robert D., South Gate, Calif., and Neal, Anamosa.

Five sisters, Mrs. Anna Koppenhaver, Anamosa; Mrs. Nora White, Alice Foarde and Agnes Foarde, Des Moines; Mrs. Kathryn Ellis, Hialeah, Fla.; one brother, Jack Foarde, Des Moines, and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Aug. 10, 1941.
