The funeral of Blanche Willimack, age 87, was held Friday, Feb. 5, in Hayden Funeral Home, Oxford Junction. She died Feb. 2 at the Monticello Senior Home where she was a resident.

Mrs. Willimack was born May 5, 1894, in Oxford Junction, to Frank and Josephine Souhrada Wasoba. She attended rural schools and later married George Willimack on September 5, 1911 in Maquoketa. With the raising of six of her own children, she also reared two of her grandchildren, Robert Vacek and Patricia Lyon, from infancy.

The couple farmed in Clinton County until 1962, when they retired to Oxford Junction. They moved to the Monticello Senior Home in 1975. Mrs. Willimack was a member of the Oxford Junction American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include a son, Edwin of Oxford Junction; three daughters, Mrs. Lillian Vacek, Oxford Junction, Mrs. Edna Henningson of Onslow, and Mrs. Eldon (Edith) Tjaden of Monticello; 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Vanicek of Oxford Junction.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, a daughter, a granddaughter and a brother.

Vocalists for the services were Mrs. Hans Ahrendsen and Mrs. Otto Koranda and accompanying them on the organ was Mrs. Lewis Hayden.

Pallbearers were Robert Vacek, James Vacek, Paul Tjaden, Rudolph Ulferts, Gary Willimack and Dale Willimack.
