OLIN--Funeral service was held at the Campbell Funeral home Sunday for Mrs. Tobias Swanson, 63, by Rev. Charles W. Tyrrell, Mechanicsville.

Mrs. Pearl Swanson was the eldest daughter of David A. and Jane Kramer, born July 7, 1879, at Anamosa. Mrs. Swanson was married to Tobias Swanson, July 25, 1900, and to this couple was born one daughter, Genevieve, now Mrs. Floyd Carter, Milwaukee, Wis. This was also the home of a niece, Myrtle, now Mrs. Hugh M. Kelly, Detroit, Mich.

At the time of her marriage Mrs. Swanson moved to Olin, where she lived until the failing health of Mr. Swanson required that they leave the farm. They then moved to Anamosa where they remained until the death of Mr. Swanson. Since his death, Mrs. Swanson had made her home with her daughter, except for extended visits with her niece in Detroit. Mrs. Swanson died at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Francis Moffit, near Tipton, Friday, Sept. 18.

Surviving are the daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Carter, one granddaughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Moffit; one brother, G. Wilson Kramer, Mildred, Minn.; one sister, Mrs. James E. Henderson, Detroit, Mich.; two nieces, Mrs. Hugh M. Kelly, Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. Jefferson Brown, Lisbon, N.Dak., and four nephews.

Mrs. Swanson was a member of the Methodist church, the Eastern Star lodge and the Twentieth Century club, all of Olin.

Burial was in the Olin cemetery. Casket bearers were Roy Moreland, C. H. Freeman, F. D. Lawson, Michael Swenson, F. E. Truax, and E. R. Easterly.
