OXFORD JUNCTION--Final rites for Mrs. Mary Pegorek, 84, were held Tuesday afternoon, at two o'clock from the late home. Mrs. Dell Pulley, Maquoketa, was the reader, and the six grandsons serving as casket bearers were: Edward Nowachek and Ray Mizaur, Oxford Junction; George Owen, jr., Cedar Rapids; Fred Mizaur, Mount Vernon; Raymond Nowachek, Monmouth, and Harry Owen, Cedar Rapids. Burial was in Mayflower cemetery.

Mrs. Pegorek was born Mary Sacora, near Monmouth, Aug. 21, 1859. She was united in marriage to John Pegorek May 3, 1881, and at that time they came to Oxford Junction to make their home. Mr. Pegorek, who died in 1908, and two daughters preceded her in death.

Mrs. Pegorek died at her home here Saturday evening after an illness of several months.

She is survived by one son, Walter, Oxford Junction; five daughters, Mrs. Vern Cram, and Mrs. Harold Long, Oxford Junction; Mrs. George Owen, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Ed Mizaur, Mount Vernon, and Mrs. Lee Kostichek, Monmouth; brother, Henry Sacora, Oxford Junction; 11 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
