Ruth L. Peters, 34, died Feb. 15 at the Jackson County Public Hospital in Maquoketa following a long illness. Services were held Feb. 18 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Oxford Junction with burial in the Mayflower Cemetery.

She was born Jan. 24, 1948, the daughter of George and Joyce Jones Buresh at Iowa City. She attended Mechanicsville schools and graduated from Oxford Junction High School.

Survivors include a nine-year-old daughter, Denise, at home; her mother, Mrs. Joyce Buresh of Maquoketa; two sisters, Mrs. Don (Nancy) Slouha of Oxford Junction and Mrs. Richard (Virginia) Pace of Wyoming; and three brothers, Kenneth Buresh of Colorado Springs, Colo., Duane Buresh of Cedar Rapids and George Buresh of Denton.
