OLIN--Jack Darold Simmons, 37, Olin, died Tuesday Feb. 5, following a lingering illness, at the family home in Olin.

Prayer service was held at the family home Thursday, Feb. 7, at 1:30 p.m., followed by services at the Hayden mortuary, Olin, at 2 p.m. Rev. Lloyd Dutro, pastor of the Olin E.U.B. was in charge of the service. Interment was in the Olin cemetery.

Pallbearers included Arno Lawson, Robert Timmons, Maynard Gordon, Grover Benischek, Delbert Fisher and Bliss Switzer.

Nellie Stivers sang, "Some Day 'Twill All Be Over" and "Does Jesus Care." Yvonne Gordon was pianist.

He was born Aug. 14, 1925, son of Clarence Ray Simmons and Nettie Gordon Simmons, Marion.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Nettie Simmons; a brother, Orrin Simmons, Anamosa; two sisters, Fern Leon and Clarice, both at home, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister, both of whom died in infancy; and his father on Sept. 21, 1956.
