MONTICELLO--Funeral services for Mrs. Arthur Hanssen was conducted at the Congregational church Tuesday afternoon by the Rev. Homer Dalrymple, Anamosa. She died at the John McDonald hospital following a short illness. Burial was in Oakwood cemetery.

As Blanche Eilers, she was born in Monticello Nov. 9, 1887. On Dec. 22, 1909, she was married to Arthur Hanssen. They have made their home on a farm near Monticello.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hanssen is survived by the following children: Mrs. Derwood Coffin, San Diego, Calif.; Mrs. James Starkey, Monticello; Private Otto Hanssen, Fort Dix, N.J.; Paul Hanssen, San Diego, Calif.; Mrs. Charles Highley, Anamosa; Mrs. Arthur Thompkins, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Ezra Jones, Anamosa, and Dorothy and George Hanssen, at home.

She is also survived by five grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Grant Eilers, Anamosa; Erving Eilers, Center Junction; Paul Eilers, Langworthy, Herman Eilers, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Lou King, Lamont, and Mrs. Louis Heiken, Monticello.
