Mrs. Thomas (Julie) Allen, 34, died suddenly at her home Monday morning.

Julie was in telephone conversation with Varlyn Fink, Anamosa, Jones County Extension Youth Director, when she collapsed, apparently of a heart attack.

Aid summoned by Mr. Fink, and the Olin Ambulance emergency personnel went immediately to the Allen home. Attempts to revive her at home and enroute to a Cedar Rapids hospital were unsuccessful.

Funeral service was held Thursday afternoon at the United Methodist church, Rev. Edward Peterson officiating.

Mrs. Allen, whose husband and three children, Matt, Molly and Mindy survive, was active in many community activities. Her husband, Tom, is a member of the Olin Board of Education.
