Final rites for Mrs. Fred Raymond, 67, who died Thursday at her home in Fairview after a lingering illness, were held Saturday afternoon at Fairview church with Rev. J. K. Delahooke, pastor of the First Methodist church, in charge.

Burial was in Wilcox cemetery and casketbearers included Lew Joslin, Ed Joslin, Ned Worden and Clair Hall. Loder's Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.

Born Carrie Belle Leaper, the daughter of Henry and Martha Leaper, in Hardin Ray county, Mo., on Jan. 6, 1874, Mrs. Raymond came to Fairview with her parents when she was still a small child. She was married on Sept. 4, 1895, to Fred Raymond, Fairview, and lived the greater part of her life in that community.

In addition to her husband, all of their six children survive: Mrs. Florence Warden, Mrs. Bert Cummings, Mrs. Lloyd Thomas, Mrs. Clifford Dailey, Ivan and Maurice Raymond, all Anamosa; one brother, Elmer Leaper, Springville; one sister, Mrs. Ernest Kelogg, Tulsa, Okla.; 23 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
