Ralph N. Petersen, Anamosa, died on March 12, 1980 at Cedar Rapids.

Services were held at Hayden Funeral Home, Olin, Saturday, March 15, 1980 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Edward Peterson officiating.

Pallbearers were Richard Petersen, Jr., Keith Comley, Larry Wells, Norman Lindley and Rick Close. Flag presentation was made by Blayney, Miner Post 412 of Olin. Burial was at the Antioch cemetery.

Ralph was born near Hale on March 25, 1920 the son of Martin and Lizzie Nowachek Petersen. He served in the Army during World War II.

Ralph lived most of his life in Jones County where he drove trucks for 35 years. The last few years he operated heavy equipment.

He married Margaret Davidson Davis on April 9, 1974 at Grand Island, Nebraska.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Peggy Sue, Huntsville, Ala.; one sister, Mrs. Frances Lindley, Anamosa; four brothers, Willey, Anahiem, CA; Richard, Olin; Robert, Hale; and Frederick, Scotch Grove; two stepsons, Jonas and Norman Davis, Maquoketa; three step-daughters, Mrs. Ella Jackson, Frankfurt, Germany; Mrs. Carolyn Renville, Minneapolis; Mrs. Mary Peters, Anamosa, and 14 step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one brother, and one sister.
