OLIN--Mrs. George McDonald, 74, succumbed at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, Friday, Aug. 11.

Funeral services were held in the Olin EUB church Monday, Aug. 14, at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Lloyd Dutro officiating. Janet and Marilyn McMorris sang "Beautiful Isle" and "I Know Who Holds Tomorrow." Linda Sharon was organist.

Interment was in the Olin cemetery. Casketbearers were Carl Feddersen, Arno Lawson, Joe Pieper, Ira Kearns, Verle Harvey and William Reese.

Ida Mae Weaver, daughter of John and Mary Weaver, was born at Osawatomi, Kan., Aug. 23, 1886. When she was about four years old, the family moved to Jones county, settling in the Olin vicinity, where she grew to womanhood.

She was united in marriage to George Otho McDonald Jan. 11, 1904. They lived in the Olin community until 13 years ago when they moved to Central City. Mrs. McDonald was a member of the Evangelical United Brethern church, Olin.

Survivors include her husband, Central City; seven children: John McDonald, Olin; Mrs. Joe (Georgia) Carpenter, Central City; Otho McDonald, Central City; Earl McDonald, Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Guy (Ida Mae) Flewelling, Canadian, Texas; Betty McDonald, Central City; and Mrs. Kenneth (Donna) Kinyon, Iowa City.

She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by three children.
