Funeral service was held Thursday, Nov. 6, at Center chapel, northeast of Morley, for Mrs. Mary Lucretia Miller, 73, who died Tuesday in the David Grassfield home west of Anamosa.

Mrs. Miller was born Mary Lucretia Smith on July 7, 1868, south of Anamosa. In 1886 she was united in marriage to Cyrus Miller, who preceded her in death in 1935. With the exception of two years in Kansas, she lived her entire life in this community.

Survivors are her daughter, Mrs. David Grassfield, Anamosa; two brothers, John Smith, Morley, and James Smith, Hickory Plains, Ark.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Rev. Sammie Weaver gave the sermon and Beam and Miller were in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Center chapel cemetery.

Pallbearers were James Smith, Herbert Smith, Delbert Smith, Morley, George Smith, Olin, Johnnie Smith, Mechanicsville, and Bruno Jensen, Olin.
