OXFORD JUNCTION--Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for Albert Vacek, 62, who died Saturday morning at his home here in Oxford Junction after a long illness.

Rev. W. A. Wolgemuth, pastor of the English Lutheran church, had charge of the services and Antone Vanicek spoke in Bohemian.

Singers were Mrs. Fred Sacora and Mrs. Fred Lasack, with Mrs. James Kotlinek accompanist. Three nieces in charge of the flowers were Phyllis and Marie Kotlinek, Cedar Rapids, and Eileen Kotlinek, Oxford Junction, and the pallbearers were nephews, Louis Lasack, Frank Buresh, Ed Vacek and George Vacek, Oxford Junction, Henry Lasack, Lost Nation, and Edward Kotlinek, Cedar Rapids. Burial was in the Mayflower cemetery.

Albert Vacek was born in Oxford Junction April 23, 1879, the son of Marten and Marie Vacek and has lived and farmed in this community all his life. Last spring, after building a new home in town during the winter, he retired from farming.

He was married Feb. 9, 1908, to Rose Kotlinek, Oxford Junction, who, with four sons, survives. Sons are Lumir, Albert, jr., Michael and Louis, all living here. Also surviving are one brother, Mike, and three sisters, Mrs. John Lasack and Mrs. Theresa Slouha, Oxford Junction, and Mrs. Rose Skalisky, Jackson, Minn.
