OXFORD JUNCTION--Funeral service for John Kostichek, 81, was held Monday morning at the Sacred Heart church, with Rev. Joseph Gregor in charge of the service.

Pallbearers were Tom Kosticheck, Frank Kostichek, John Lawrence, John Kropek, John Bisinger and Frank Ruley, and burial was in the Mayflower cemetery.

Mr. Kostichek died Saturday afternoon at his home northeast of Oxford Junction after a year's illness. He was born in Maidalena, Bohemia, Jan. 16, 1860, and came to America and directly to the Oxford Junction community with his parents, Thomas and Rose Kostichek, in June, 1882. He had lived for 47 years on the home farm.

He was united in marriage to Mary Yanda, Nov. 25, 1901. She survives with three children: two sons, John and James, and a daughter, Mrs. John Lawrence, all living near here. Two brothers, Charles and Joe, preceded him in death and two, Frank and Tom, both Oxford Junction, survive with two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Zaruba, Olin, and Mrs. Rose Dushanek, Wyoming.
