W. F. "Bob" Robertson, 63, died November 26, at an Iowa City hospital while undergoing heart surgery.

Funeral services were held at St. Paul United Methodist Church November 29, with burial in the Olin cemetery. Rev. Fred Richardson was the officiating pastor and Miss Lori Mapel was organist. Pallbearers were Richard Frazier, Byron Darrow, Stanley Allen, Donald Starry, Lloyd Andre and Howard Cruise.

He was born at Belle River, IL, on January 6, 1916, the son of Edward and Stella Sexton Robertson.

In 1921, the family moved to Rockwell City where Bob graduated from high school. He then graduated from Iowa State University and began his teaching career, serving in the Blenco, West Branch, West Liberty and Olin schools.

On June 11, 1939, he married Grace Klumph at West Branch.

After teaching, he farmed for 27 years near Olin, and retired to Olin in 1977.

He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. He served on the Olin school board for a number of years.

Surviving are his wife, Grace; two daughters, Carmen, Mrs. Donald Darrow of Cedar Falls, and Carol, Mrs. Eric Brown of Huston, TX; six grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Stella Robertson.
