OLIN--Dr. Seward White, 83, former longtime resident of the Olin community, died Wednesday in Cincinnati, Ohio, in the Veteran's hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 29, at 2 p.m. in the Campbell Funeral home in Olin.

Military and Masonic funeral will be conducted. Burial will be in the Olin cemetery in a family plot. Pallbearers were to be named after members of the family returned to Olin Thursday evening.

Dr. White grew up in Olin where his father practiced medicine. He graduated from medical school at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, in the early 1890's and returned to Olin to join his father in practice.

During World War I he was stationed in Utah with an army medical unit. After the war he returned to Olin and practiced medicine until his retirement. Mr. and Mrs. White moved from Olin several years ago to live near their daughter in Cincinnati.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. William Davis, and grandchildren Michael and Nancy, all of Cincinnati, and Miss Virginia White, a sister, Olin.

Preceding him in death were a brother, John; a sister, Marjoire, and another sister, Mrs. Daisy Truax.
