Emma Louise Rohwedder, 87, of Wyoming, Iowa, died Wednesday morning, October 10, at her home after a long illness.

She was born January 17, 1892, at Olin, Iowa, to August and Johanna Thomsen Levsen. The family moved to Doland, S.D. where she taught school for two years. She was married March 20, 1917, to Albert Rohwedder at Doland, S.D. They were engaged in farming southwest of Wyoming, until his death in1950, when she moved into town. She was a member of the Wyoming United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a son, Robert, of Wyoming, Iowa; a daughter, Mrs. C. E. (Dorothy) Burnett of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; three grandsons, and a sister, Mrs. Frieda Wells of Burlington, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers and seven sisters.

Services were held on Friday, October 12, 1979, at 11 a.m. at the Wyoming Methodist Church with burial in the Wyoming cemetery. Rev. Loren Simpson officiated. Mrs. Richard Pace was organist. Pallbearers were Richard Rohwedder, Paul Rohwedder, Walter Rohwedder, Harry Rohwedder, Herbert Levson and Calvin Reiss.
