Lavena Andre, 84, formerly of Olin, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, at her home in Mesa, AZ. She had lived in Mesa the last two and one-half years.

Funeral service was held Monday morning at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids, with burial in the Cedar Park Memorial cemetery. Rev. Fred Richardson, pastor of St. Paul's Methodist Church, Olin, officiated. Eastern Star memorial service was held Sunday evening at the funeral home. Pallbearers were Ervin VonSpecken, W. F. and Clair Robertson, Lewis Strother, Marvin Hinrichs and James Tallman.

She was born November 10, 1894, in Decatur City, and was married to Leo Andre on February 3, 1915 in Anamosa. She was a member of Hiawatha Chapter No.294, Order of the Eastern Star in Olin, the Olin United Methodist church and the Olin Garden Club.

Surviving are her husband; two sons, Donald, Davenport, and Lloyd, Olin; a daughter, Phyllis Andre, Cedar Rapids, and four grandchildren, Richard, Janell, Suzanne and Sam Andre.
