Ruth Meade, 73, died Monday morning, Sept. 24.

She was born on October 21, 1905 to Mr. and Mrs. Ira (Blanche) Miller, Stanwood, IA. During her school years she attended Cedar County school. Then on March 27, 1927 she married Douglas Meade in Davenport. They then spent most of their married life in Oxford Mills. He died in 1961 on July 4. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. A graveside service will be held on Sept. 27 and the Rev. Raymon Booth from Cedar Rapids will officiate the ceremony.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Gaylon (Donna) Dahn, Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Dennis (Maxine) Homen, San Louis Obispo. CA, Mrs. Gary (Pat) Hansen of Lost Nation; and one brother, Paul Miller of Muscatine. Also 10 grandchildren.

Preceding her in death is her husband, her parents and one sister.
