Lyle Williams, 50, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Veterans Hospital, Iowa City. He was born February 17, 1929 in Jones County to Leland and Lula Ripperton Williams.

He married Tillie Streets September 24, 1950. He was a Veteran of World War II having served in the Navy.

He is survived by his wife Tillie; two sons Paul, Dubuque, Larry, Onslow; two daughters Mrs. Trudy Flenker, Maquoketa; Mrs. Doris Hintz, Toronto; six grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Lulu Williams, Monticello; one sister, Mrs. Helen McMillen Wall Lake, Michigan; and six brothers, Gale, Center Junction, Wayne, Miles, Blair, Oxford Junction, Joe, Cedar Rapids, Ronald, Marion and Larry, Wyoming. He was preceeded in death by his father.

Services were held Saturday, Sept. 8, 1:30 p.m. Carson Funeral Home, Maquoketa, by Rev. Frederick Keil of Calvary Baptist Church, Onslow. Burial was in Canton Cemetery with Military Services by Legion Post 259, Wyoming.
