Last rites for William E. P. Felker, 74, guard at the Men's State reformatory for 30 years, are being held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Smykil Funeral home.

Rev. H. E. Dalrymple, pastor of the Congregational church, is officiating and burial will be in Oakwood cemetery at Shellsburg. Members of the Anamosa I.O.O.F. lodge, of which Mr. Felker was a member, are serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Felker died suddenly early Monday morning following heart attack suffered while he and Mrs. Felker were visiting relatives in Shellsburg. A family dinner had been held at the Felker home here Sunday and Mr. and Mrs. Felker accompanied Mrs. Felker's relatives to their home in Shellsburg for a short visit. Mr. Felker had retired only recently.

Son of John and Ann Eliza Felker, he was born June 10, 1867, at Vinton. He is survived by his widow, a son, Frank, and a sister, Mrs. Ellen Werden, Baldwin.
